Take Profit Trader The Test (evaluation)

Take Profit Trader's evaluation: no daily loss limits firm-wide, a strictly-below-50% consistency rule, and a 5-day minimum that decides how fast you can actually pass.

Overview

Take Profit Trader removed daily loss limits across the whole firm, which makes this one of the most forgiving evaluations to survive — only the trailing max loss can end it. What it is not is fast. Two rules stack: a five trading day minimum, and a consistency rule your best day must be strictly below 50% of total profit, not merely at it. Most comparison sites model that rule as inclusive and report a shorter pass. TPT's own worked example shows otherwise, which is why our number is five days and some competitors' is three.

The rules that decide whether you pass

Consistency rule

Your best day must be strictly under 50% of your total profit. A day landing exactly on half fails the check — the difference between < and ≤ is a whole extra trading day here.

Fastest legal pass

Five days. The consistency maths alone would allow three, but the five-day minimum overrides it. The efficient shape is to reach the target across your first three days, then place one tiny trade on each remaining day purely to tick the box — the drawdown is still live on those days, so keep the size minimal.

Who this account is for

A good fit if…

  • Traders who have failed evaluations on daily loss limits rather than on the overall drawdown
  • Anyone who wants breathing room inside a session and is not in a hurry
  • Traders happy to serve five days for a genuinely soft rule set

Look elsewhere if…

  • Anyone optimising purely for speed — four firms here pass in one day
  • Traders who front-load one enormous day, which the strict rule punishes hardest

Questions traders actually ask

How many days does Take Profit Trader take to pass?

Five. That is the firm's minimum trading day requirement, and it binds before the consistency maths does. You can reach the profit target sooner, but the account will not convert until day five.

Is the Take Profit Trader consistency rule 50%?

It is strictly below 50% of total profit, not up to and including it. A best day landing exactly on half your total profit does not satisfy the check — you need one more day than the arithmetic suggests.
