Which Futures Prop Firm Actually Pays the Most in 2026

Published 2026-08-12 · Rules verified weekly

DayTraders takes no profit split at all — traders keep up to 100% on both its evaluation products. Apex pays 100% of your first $25,000 per account, then 90/10, and that allowance resets on every account you run. FundedNext Futures pays up to 95%. Everyone else in this comparison is 90/10.

The headline split is also the least useful number on the page, and most comparison sites publish nothing else.

Below is every profit split we have verified from the firms' own documentation, plus the three things that decide what actually lands in your bank account — and the answer to which challenge traders really choose, which is not the same as which one is best.

All figures read from each firm's own documentation on 12 August 2026.

The Topstep detail that most sites have not updated

Topstep's "keep 100% of your first $10,000" applies only to traders who joined the new dashboard before 12 January 2026. If you sign up today, you are on a straight 90/10 split from your first dollar.

That single change is still shown as a live benefit across a large part of the comparison web, and it is the difference between an expected $10,000 and an actual $9,000 on your first ten thousand of profit. Topstep remains an excellent firm — it is the most-searched name in the category — but buy it for the rule set, not for a promotion that has already closed.

One more Topstep detail worth knowing before you plan around it: Express Funded payouts are capped at 50% of your account balance per request. Live Funded Account payouts are not capped.

Why the split is the wrong number to optimise

Three things move your real payout more than the percentage does.

1. When you can withdraw. A 90/10 split you can draw on daily beats a 100% split you can draw on monthly, for anyone using this income to live on. MyFundedFutures Rapid and Top One Elite DAILY both pay daily. Apex requires five qualifying trading days of at least $100 profit each, with a $500 minimum request.

2. What the payout consistency rule does to you. Most firms that run a loose evaluation apply consistency at the *payout* stage instead — Apex, Top One and Tradeify Growth all do. You pass in a day, then discover you need three or four balanced profitable days before any money moves. FundedNext inverts this: harder evaluation, then no consistency rule on withdrawals at all.

3. How many accounts you can run. This is where Apex's structure genuinely separates from the field. The 100%-of-first-$25,000 allowance is per account, not per trader. Traders running multiple accounts multiply that allowance, which is the actual reason Apex dominates the volume charts — not the headline percentage.

Worked example — $30,000 of profit

Take a trader who makes $30,000 on one account.

A $3,000 spread between best and worst on the same performance. Real, but smaller than most traders assume — and easily wiped out by one failed evaluation, which is why the pass rules matter more than the split for anyone not yet funded.

Which challenge do traders actually choose?

Two different questions, two different answers.

Most searched: Topstep. Industry keyword analysis puts Topstep at roughly 201,000 US monthly searches, the largest brand-name demand in the futures prop category. It is the default name a new trader types.

Most bought: Apex. Apex is widely reported as the fastest-growing futures prop firm through the 2023–2025 window, and three things explain it — a one-day pass with no consistency rule in the evaluation, the 100%-of-first-$25,000 split, and near-permanent heavy discounting on challenge fees.

So the most-searched firm and the most-purchased firm are not the same, and the gap between them is almost entirely speed to funded. Traders search for the name they trust and buy the one that funds them this week.

Our own view, from modelling all 23 evaluations against their real rules: the most *rational* pick for a trader who has not been funded before is a one-day pass on an end-of-day drawdown. That combination — no consistency rule, no intraday trail punishing you for giving back unrealised profit — exists at Apex EOD, Top One Elite ACCESS, MyFundedFutures Builder and Tradeify Growth. It removes the two mechanics that end most first evaluations.

Who should ignore the split entirely

Frequently asked

Which futures prop firm has the highest profit split?

DayTraders, which takes no profit split at all on either of its evaluation products — traders keep up to 100%. FundedNext Futures pays up to 95%. Apex pays 100% of the first $25,000 per account before moving to 90/10, which can be the largest real-world figure for traders running multiple accounts.

Does Topstep still pay 100% of your first $10,000?

Only for traders who joined the new Topstep dashboard before 12 January 2026. Accounts opened after that date are on a standard 90/10 split from the first dollar. Many comparison sites still show the old terms.

Is a higher profit split worth a harder evaluation?

Usually not, if you have never been funded. The difference between a 90% and a 100% split on $30,000 of profit is $3,000, while a single failed evaluation costs you the fee and the weeks. Pass rates published by firms sit in the high teens. Optimise for the rule set you can actually clear, then optimise the split.

Splits verified against each firm's own documentation on 12 August 2026. Search volume and market share figures are third-party industry estimates and are attributed as such. Firms change payout terms without notice — confirm in your own dashboard before trading.
